The Problem

Excel Spreadsheets Aren’t Cutting It Anymore

If you’ve worked in an architectural or interior design firm, you may know the pain of managing product information in Excel spreadsheets. It starts out simple, but as the project evolves, formatting becomes inconsistent, copy-pasting between projects introduces formatting errors, and valuable knowledge from past projects gets lost in the shuffle.

We’ve been there ourselves, constantly struggling to keep track of hundreds of product details, only to end up with documents that are hard to maintain and even harder to standardize across teams.

We wanted something better, a way to not just manage, but also improve and evolve our product scheduling process over time.

So, born was our online progran BIMselect, our attempt to address this challenge.

Introducing the BIMselect Beta

BIMselect is still in development, and soon we will be seeking likeminded souls to help us grow and provide feedback. When the Beta version opens for testing it will be offering these core features:

    A centralised location for all your product information, searchable, and easily categorised to your liking.

    Generate projects and create package specific schedules to add products to.

  • Automated Coding

    An automated coding systems that customisable to your requirements, such that all projects adhere to your companies standards.

  • The Contact Library

    Storage and management contacts for manufacturers and suppliers, linked directly to the relevant products.

  • Team Collaboration

    The ability to work with your team in real-time ensuring everyone is on the same page.

  • User Permissions

    Customizable permission levels to help maintain company standards and settings.

  • Exporting

    Export in-progress or finished schedules to PDF for easy sharing and submittal.

While our Beta could be used on live projects, we advise caution, as with any Beta, there may be bugs and unfinished elements. If you’re willing to help us refine and perfect this tool, we encourage you to register your interest below and join our Beta testing community.

Doing so will give you unrestricted access until release, and 3 Months Free once open to the world. Plus, if you are particularly passionate about helping us improve, every bug brought to our attention, or improvement made due to your contribution will be rewarded with an additional month.
